Description
Himalayan pink salt is a type of mineral salt mined from the Punjab region of Pakistan, near the foothills of the Himalayas. Pink Himalayan salt is chemically similar to table salt. Contains up to 98% sodium chloride. The rest is made up of trace elements, such as potassium, magnesium and calcium, which give salt its light pink hue. The presence of these trace elements also explains why this particular salt tastes different from ordinary table salt.
